Creating a Credit Card Entry
Step 1: Access the Vault
- Navigate to your Vault from the main dashboard
- Click "Add Entry" or press
Ctrl + N - Select "Credit Card" from the entry type options
Step 2: Card Information
Complete the essential card details:
Basic Information
- Card Name - Descriptive name (e.g., "Business Visa", "Personal MasterCard")
- Cardholder Name - Full name as it appears on the card
- Card Number - 16-digit card number (automatically formatted and masked)
- Expiration Date - MM/YY format with date picker
- Security Code - CVV/CVC code (3-4 digits)
Additional Details
- Card Type - Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, etc.
- Issuing Bank - Bank or financial institution name
- Credit Limit - Available credit limit (optional)
- Balance - Current balance (optional, for tracking)
Step 3: Billing Information
Add associated billing address:
- Billing Address - Street address for the card
- City - Billing city
- State/Province - State or province code
- ZIP/Postal Code - Postal code
- Country - Country of billing address
- Phone Number - Associated phone number
Step 4: Security & Organization
Configure additional options:
- Folder - Organize into appropriate folder
- Tags - Add descriptive tags (business, personal, travel)
- Notes - Additional information about the card
- Sharing - Set team access if needed
- Expiration Alerts - Get notified before card expires
